They have to be able to ship by Christmas, of course.
See’s is pretty good stuff. Maybe not the best, but damn good. And they ship quick.
Joseph Schmidt Chocolates I’m using them for some of my Christmas shopping

The Elbow and Norman Love collections are incredibly gorgeous. Most of them ship in foam ‘coolers’ to make sure they arrive fresh and intact.
Dunno how fast they ship, but Vosges is excellent for unique flavors.
Show 'em how much you care and get the good stuff.
My brother just got me a box of Christopher Elbow chocolates. Oh. My. GAWD!!!
Absolutely beautiful. It took me 2 weeks to finish the box just because I didn’t want to “waste” the candy by eating it Very fun flavors, too.
Recchiuti, as mentioned by psycat90 is absolutely stellar.
Try the fleur-de-sel caramels, or the ginger hearts; they’re like nothing I’ve had anywhere else.
Asher’s Chocolate is absolutely wonderful! Especially their dark chocolate.
bissingers.com out of St. Louis. Absolutely sinful!
Gail Ambrosius in Madison, WI. (Yes, that’s her real name.) Out of this world! Order by Wednesday for Christmas delivery.
I second psycat90’s vote for Norman Love. Beautiful as well as delicious.
I’m a big fan of Burdick’s. They have a shop within walking distance of my home. My family loves these chocolates because the sizes are smaller than most other places. While I like Joseph Schmidt, those things are huge! I have no need to eat an entire one by myself in one sitting. With Burdick’s if you want more, just eat several pieces. Different flavors is more fun anyway.
Bacon chocolate bar…
Not sure if your smiley means that you know this, or was only directed at the prices, but even this South African foodie knows that NoKA are rip-off merchants
Seconding (thirding?) Vosges. YUM.
I also love Pure Imagination. I got his chocolates for my wedding reception favors. They’re delicious and gorgeous. Plus, Dan is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
Looks like pure chocolatier has been covered so allow me a minor hijack…
Shari’s Berries for chocolate covered strawberries. People I’ve given them to can’t believe how good they are.
Crud. 'Twould appear I’m screwed. The ones I liked either couldn’t deliver by Xmas or wanted an arm and a leg to do so. I guess I’ll see if I can find something nice locally.
I’ve never eaten them, but for sheer beauty, the Ghyslain Chocolate turtles:
