the singer from Death Cab for Cutie spawned The Postal Service, a group which I really, really like.
As for Miss Kitten & The Hacker and Adult, I don’t really like either of these groups (I just mentioned that I’d heard them). They’re a little too techno/electroclash for my tastes. I’m really not into the electroclash type stuff.
As I said in another thread, the band HOT HOT HEAT has a GREAT modern new-wave single called “Bandages”, and although I hated the rest of the album, you might like it. Bandages sounds just like “Boys Don’t Cry”-era Cure, but a little more raw.
The greatest New Wave band EVER…The Fleshtones are still around and have an awesome new record out called “Do You Swing?”. You can hear samples at their website.

Well you can’t talk about electo-clash without mentioning Peaches. And Chicks on Speed are good, too.
Well, it partly is. But that’s the fun of it. They just vamp it up and set the place on fire. I mean, I like to listen to Radioheads and U2s and Wilcos and other Bands With Substance. But sometimes I just like to party.
Electro-clash is kind of like a really hot, really vapid blonde. You don’t want to spend the rest of your life with her, but one night? Bring it on!
Woo hoo! Other Gary Numan fans!
That is all.
