I’m trying to find a movie to take a friend to. Taking a look at listings, it seems that everything out these days is zany, action-oriented, or for kids. The most sophisicated thing I could find was Tower Heist.
Is there anything playing that’s for adults?
In Time, The Rum Diary, The Ides of March, and Moneyball all appear to be movies for adults.
Ides of March looks good. The first two look a little… basically, if I couldn’t take my mother to it, it’s not a good bet. Not that it has to be antiseptic or anything, but In Time is science fiction, and that wouldn’t appeal. I also wouldn’t take her to see The Rum Diary, for the same reason I wouldn’t take her to see Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
But my mother did recommend Ides of March, so that sounds like a winner. Thanks!
