I have got the habit of browsing through a few international news sites every day, such as BBC and NYT.
Now I would like to sort out a bunch of favourite newspaper type of sites to reinforce a broader perspective on the world.
Could you recommend me your favourite international (European, Asian, Australian, Middle Eastern, etc) news sites for me?
Australian sites:
Australian newspaper - a nationwide paper
Sydney Morning Herald newspaper - more of a focus on Sydney and NSW
The Age newspaper - more of a focus on Melbourne and Victoria
Israeli news sites in English:
Jerusalem Post - Slightly Right of Attila the Hun…
Yedioth Aharonot - Slightly Right of Center
Ha’aretz - Waaay Left of Center
Der Spiegel - German weekly magazine, sort of in the vein of Newsweek or Time magazine. Usually read by left-wing intellectuals or those who claim to be (“Oh, but I read in the *Spiegel *the other day…”). A bit disdainful of “boulevard” topics, sometimes leading to sloppy research; other topics are usually quite thoroughly researched.
