I enjoy listening to podcasts (I’m really into my newly discovered “Miles and Rachel Explain the X-Men”), but almost everyone I have run into is an interview/opinion show.
I recently listened to the BBC Radio show “Cabin Pressure” - a hilarious radio sit-com about a down and out one-plane “airline” and want more, but can’t find anything similar. I have resorted to listening to old 30’s and 40’s radio shows, but would love something more contemporary.
And before you ask - yes, I have plenty of Audiobooks to listen to, but would like some narrative-based, episodic, fictional shows - preferably (but not required to be) family friendly enough for car trips with the kids. Comedy or drama is fine.
Welcome to Nightvale and The Thrilling Adventure Hour are the two big ones.
There’s also We’re Alive which just finished up. (The Walking Dead as a a modern audio drama)
Maybe News From Lake Wobegon? Not sure if it’s available in podcast form, but maybe. I don’t even know if the Prairie Home Companion is still being produced, but they must have 30+ years of material archived.
