Recommend Some Good Amateur (or Semi-Pro) Covers On YouTube

I’m looking for some good videos on YouTube of amateurs (or semi-professionals) covering popular songs, and covering them well. There are far too many videos of off-key teenagers or low-rent bar acts murdering songs I like; I want videos of people doing it right.

Here are some examples to get you started:

James David Carter has quite a few covers. He was on the Voice this season.


A lot of the Voice musicians have youtube videos they’ve posted for years. Youtube is a great platform for semi-pro musicians. James David Carter has been a working musician for almost ten years.
