I’ll admit I know very little about modern music outside what I occasionally hear in a movie or on my commute. So I rarely remember song titles or artists but every once in a while something sticks.
So based on these songs I do recall–which I think all have a certain similar sound/style to them–recommend some additional music for me to check out:

I love the Shins, and also like the Lumineers. Artists I would recommend include Squeeze, The Decemberists and Cold War Kids, in addition to mentioned Of Monsters & Men.
I’ll throw Whitehorse, Shaky Graves, and if you want a little more pop, The Ting-Tings.. Also, The Fratellis.
