I need some new tunes

I’ve played all my music out and need some new stuff. Please help!

I like:

Alternative & Alt Rock
Punk
Modern Country
Pop
Rock

My favorite artists/bands are:

Cage the Elephant
Collective Soul
Duran Duran
Third Eye Blind
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Keith Urban
Maroon 5

I don’t like ALL of any band or artist. I’m just not cut out that way. So please, if you recommend an artist, please recommend your favorite song of them. It’s too easy to hear about a great band and end up hearing their worst song.

Also I vastly prefer male vocalists. Most female vocalists are far too high-pitched and hurt my ears. I hate squeaky voices. Out of the female vocalists I do like, I’m thinking Tracy Chapman or maybe Lorenna McKennit (doesn’t fit in any of the above genres but you get my drift).

I also love songs that have a melancholy meaning but a lively tune. These are some of my favorites.

If you can link to the youtube version of your song that would be super awesome too! Then I can listen to it right away.

Thanks ahead of time - I don’t listen to the radio much, so it’s hard to find new songs sometimes.

Have you heard “Madness” by Muse? It’s been out a little while but it’s been one of my earworms for a good bit now. There’s just something about that song that I really dig.

Ditto the “Radioactive” song by Imagine Dragons.

The Gaslight Anthem. Their first albums - not so much their latest one, it’s mellower and I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much. But trust me, that band is fantastic. They’re excellent in concert too.
