Recommend some recent U2 music

U2 has had some of their most successful/award-winning music in the last decade. But, in all honesty, the last U2 song I can name is “Walk On” or “Beautiful Day”. Tell me what I’m missing.

Their last album was quite good. Search YouTube for White as Snow.

Well, I can’t stand them, but if you want to hear their absolute latest work, you’ll somehow get your hands on the Spiderman musical soundtrack.

My hubby is a bona fide U2 fan (he says he doesn’t qualify as a superfan). Singles-wise, we recommend:

  • Get on Your Boots (from No Line on the Horizon)
  • No Line on the Horizon (um…)
  • Sometimes You Can’t Make It on Your Own (a song written by Bono to his recently passed father; very poignant to me as my father died in 2009) (HTDAB)
  • Breathe (NLOH)
  • Magnificent (NLOH)
