I know we have some cigar smokers on the board, and I occasionally enjoy one as a stress reliever.
So, recommend your favorite. I’ve been enjoying La Gloria Cubana Serie R cigars so far, and I’m impressed by them.

I don’t smoke cigars often, but when I do I like Arturo Fuente. They have a nice chocolatey smell.
CAO Gold Double Coronas are my absolute favorite. It’s a big cigar, but nice and mild and tasty.
Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Toros. Great smoke.
My everyday smoke is the Flor de Olivia Gold Toro. Not the greatest cigar, but it’s got a decent price, especially for a bundle. Since I smoke a couple a day, that helps cost wise.
If I want a flavored cigar, it’s a Maker’s Mark cigar. Nice flavor.
For an inexpensive smoke Punch is a hard brand to beat. The Rare Corojo is especially good.
I really like the Montecristo Afrique when I feel like something different.
I don’t smoke cigars, but I buy them for my BIL for xmas, and he likes a Macanudo. He had a couple others on his list, but the names escape me. If I come up with them, I’ll be back.
When I was smoking cigars it was usually Arturo Fuente.
I reccomend Middleton’s Black & Milds.
well, they’re cheap, and at least they ain’t Swisher Sweets!
I like a Macanudo from time to time. I smoke maybe 6 a year. I have a friend who smokes one or more a day. He always says that he will smoke anything, as long as it was hand-rolled on the thigh of a virgin princess.
Things change…some are available today but not next month, new stuff comes in, crops change, etc…
These days I just go in and ask, “What do you recommend in a full bodied good sized cigar” and go from there.
I like big, fat, full bodied, luxurious, complex, high quality, hand rolled, cigars. Sometimes that is a Fuente, Astral, Davidoff, Punch, Partagas, Sosa, La Gloria, Cohiba, Monticristo, or many others.
Haven’t smoked for almost nine months now, but back in the day, I loved me a Partegas or Cohiba. I was also going to say Gloria Cubano, but I see you’ve had that one. The fun part of see-gars is trying not just brands, but various sizes and wrapper leaf combos. John F named most of the brands I’m familiar with. All good.
When I buy cigars, I always buy Avo Uvezians. Very nice, very smooth, and they come in a variety of wrappers.
I’m a big fan of the Macanudo label. Lately I’ve been enjoying the Diplomat Maduro – it’s a medium bodied cigar, good depth and complex flavor, with an interesting finish that’s almost reminiscent of hand-worked leather.
I also like the Cohiba Triangulos - also medium-bodied, excellent depth, very complex flavor, strong earthy finish.
Most of all, I like having in-laws in the Dominican Republic, where I can buy boxes of these for a fraction of what I’d pay here!
Partagas. #4, #2, or Almirante depending on how big / strong a toke I want. Good price / performance, superb flavor, excellent manufacturing consistency.
Probably a bit pricey ($5-10 each) for folks who do 1+ a day, but for my 15-20 smokes year, price is immaterial.
H. Upmann - Corona Mejor, either the Dominican or Cuban variety. Not too strong, kind of spicy.
Whenever I think of Macanudos, the Macarena song comes into my head. Heeeey, Macanudo!
You might listen to Cigar Dave or spend some time on the webpage. Lots of information on cigars.
It’s been several years since I smoked cigars, but when I did my favorite was an El Rey del Mundo macanudo. I liked Arturo Fuentes too.
I like Padron (the 2000 is an affordable, quality smoke), and CAO Cameroons.
Most favored are the Padron Anniversarios, but those are hard ot come by in some places, and quite expensive.
