Just now I was listening to BBC Radio 4, and they had a series called “The Coming Storm”, talking in depth about the politics and culture around the events of Jan 6th Capitol riots.
It seems very good; e.g. in episode 1 the narrator discusses the spread of witchcraft beliefs following the invention of the printing press, which sadly gave the world an infection of misinformation, in the same way that social media and opinion “news” has now.
