I get a hair that grows on my chin that everytime it grows back it gets a little slightly raised red area on the skin surrounding it and its slightly sensitive to touch the area.
I can take a cotton swab with peroxide on it and swab the area and the skin gets noticeably white right around the base of the hair.
I’ll then pluck that individual hair and when it comes out it always has a thick, clearish core around the base of it. when it comes out its almost like what comes out of the hole (pore?, folicle?) was a little too big for the area it was occupying.
plucking it is a really satisfying sensation.
it makes that area feel instantly better and I get a slight tension release from it, like a weight off your shoulders feeling for just a moment.
it bleeds a little bit when it comes out. I always swab that with rubbing alcohol.
the maybe stranger part of all of this is if I look at the hair very closely, it becomes obvious it’s not really just one hair, but one slightly thicker hair (than my other facial hair), and one slightly thinner hair, seeming like one, and growing out the same way every time basically. by every time I mean I have to pluck this thing 10 to 12 times a year.
I don’t shave with a razor blade, I use clippers and have a permenant stubble, 5 o’clock shadow thing going on at all times.
how common is this type thing? I have a good complexion and no other problem hairs. is this just my faces thing it will do forever?
