RED HOT GIRL FRIEND!

At certain points of the night, my
girlfriends body temperature raises
to such incredible levels, I beleive
I could fry an egg on her butt. This
happens regardless of season. Any one
run into this or have any explanations?

I have no idea of the possible reason, but I’ll have mine over easy, thanks.

You don’t have a thing to worry about. I’ll have the jury eating out of my hand. Meanwhile, try to escape.

Ok dude the answer to this is not only simple but one you might be able to use to your advantage. It goes like this:

Whenever a human is sleeping male or female “most” of the night you sleep through cycles coming up and down through levels of deep or light sleep. I forget which but one of the levels either deep or light is a time when your body is “sexually” stimulated. A male will become erect and a female will become moist. In many people this also will signify a rise in body temperature, particulary if that person is either heavy set and I don’t mean fat so don’t take offense  I am talking works out muscular or just not a scrawny person. So in other words what is happening is she is having some nice feelings and her body is showing it to you. It probably happens most nights several times you just notice it only here and there. My advice: sleep farther away from her or maybe try to get a little action bout then  Have fun!

How old is your girlfriend? If she’s going through menopause, she might be having hot flashes.

Lynn

If hot flashes are not a factor, Quisling, despite the rather interesting sexual capitalization idea, has hit one nail on the head. The human body goes through temperature cycles during a 24-hour day. Everyone’s cycle is different. I have noticed that my cycle is almost exactly opposite to my SO’s. When I am in my cold trough, she is at her hot peak. She feels very warm to me at that point- not just because she is warm, but because I am cold. Obviously the opposite also happens, about twelve hours later. This may be what you’re experienceing. I would guess that if you took bady temperature at this time, hers would be a degree or two above average, and yours a degree or two below.

Well, blessed is just about everyone with a vested interest in the status quo,
as far as I can tell.

I think she is just getting hot over that dude she is cheating on you with.

Take her rectal temperature & tell us what it is.

The nighttime sexual cycle is sound trust me. If anyone has any doubts feel free to check out almost any level human psychology book especially those used in first level Psychology courses in college. This also is why you normally wake up hard guys! When you wake up you are on the verge of the light sleep cycle and still in an aroused state. I know most of you think it is because you have to take a piss. This isn’t totally right. you wake up with a hard on from the sleep cycles and the clenching you are doing from having to take a piss sustains the erection so it has an effect but is not the cause.

Now come on people I can’t be the only one out there that has learned this there has to be a few people out there who know this as well.

Stolichnaya: PH is the negative log of the H+ ion concentration in solution. The amount of anything which is soluble is highly dependent on temperature. If the PH of your blood gets out of whack it is a serious matter indeed. The human body’s average temperature should be 98.6 degrees farenheit. Yes, we do go through temperature cycles throughout the day, but a variance of one or two degrees is way too much. Finally, it’s not a 12 hour cycle. There are two or three cycles which, in the end, finally add up to 24.

Is your blood pH so dependent on temperature? I think there are other mechanisms (buffers?) that help control blood pH. If there aren’t, then why don’t I have problems when I get a fever? (When I write “fever”, I am talking about 103+… that’s how high mine gets every time I get one.)

Things are random only insofar as we don’t understand them.

Huh?

Anyway, your assumption that human blood is buffered is correct. The main mechanism for the control of pH, however, is through the actions of various enzymes, and these little buggers are notoriously sensitive to temperature changes. If your temperature drops too low, the enzymes stop functioning, and you die. If your temperature goes too high, the enzymes will not only stop functioning, they can also be permanently destroyed, and you die. If I recall correctly, this is why the human body is not as tolerant to a rise in body temperature as it is to a drop. I have no idea what the actual pH regulating reactions in your body is, and I certainly don’t know what enzyme is involved and what its specific temperature tolerances are. Perhaps one of the resident doctors can chip in on that one…

Ok I can see this isn’t totally clear by what I typed earlier so lets explain the physiology of it. Everyone I am sure now understands the sexual cycle of sleeping at night when you go through approximately 1 hour rythms of deep and light sleep. Light being when you dream and are aroused. Now it works like this. Everyone obviously keeps an “INTERNAL” body temperature of 98.6 degrees almsot to the letter with very little deviation. BUT, and here is the big part guys, Your skin temperature which is what you feel yourself or others feel can vary HUGELY. I don’t know for sure but I am sure you can fluctuate your skin temperature by a good 20 degrees either way with no serious side effect. You can try this by sticking your hand in a bucket of ice water and hold a thermometer afterwards. Now what controls skin temperature??? Obviously a combination of blood circulation and outside temperature. The better the circulation the warmer you will be and vice versa. Your circulation is dependent on relative size of blood veins and arteries and so forth but more than anything else on the your heart rate, or pulse! So when your girl friend gets a little excited in a higher/lighter part of her sleep cycle her heart increases raising blood pressure and circulation just a tad warming her skin up a little more. Your skin not being as warm says, “Wow, she is hot” Obviously there are a hundred variances hear guys according to weight, sex, and age but that is the crux of it. Below is a link to how your sleep cycles work in the human body. You may also be interested to learn that you get almost all of your rest in the first 4-5 hours. Which is all you actually “need” for a good nights sleep as an “adult” don’t try this if you are still like less than 21. And anything past eight hours is not only normally a waste but hurts you and can make you more tired.
Here ya go everything ya ever wanted to know about sleep Guitar boy

IIRC, the temperature that the proteins that make up the enzymes start to denature is 106F.

98.6 degrees + 20 = 118.6?

No way, haha, nope.

I haven’t looked it up yet, but I can believe it. If you go into a 140F sauna for a half-hour, I would think you skin temperature could rise that high. Remember that he was referring to skin temperature, not body temperature.

Sorry if this has posted several times, but it is not showing up upon refresh.

Thanx Steve for the back up  Yeah Hands stick your hand in a hot water faucet and slowly turn the water hotter and hotter till you can’t stand it and grab a themometer. You’ll see

The normal body temperature is 98.6? I’ve heard that’s a myth, and I’m inclined to agree. I mean, three significant digits?

Sure, and you can stick your hand on the outside of a heater & then on the inside of a heater. Notice that the inside is much hotter than the outside? That means if a skin temp of 118, inside she could be 150 deg. haha, nope.
