They are made of fabric. Do people like these?
If you are feeling more inclined, please take the more prolonged survvey below (with demographic questions) It is for anbasic Engineering Psych class I am taking.
I love it because it makes me feel like I’m reviewing an NFL replay.
Never mind.
Hate it. If it stayed up, maybe I wouldn’t be so irked, but futzing with it while scrolling through and such is a pain.
We solved it by using only indoor RedBoxes.
Thanks everyone for their input- interesting that at least one person does do elsewhere to avoid dealing with it.
I’ve never used one. Having seen the picture, I’m still not sure what it’s supposed to do. It looks like something I’d expect to see on a booth in a porn store.
Beltane. I’ve removed the link to your survey. If you had asked for prior permission it might have been granted.

My apologies, I haven’t posted regularly in a long while, and I should have checked the rules before before I posted that. I can see on reflection how that could become out of control if this became known as a place for people could go for homework help.
I’ve never seen one before either (the redboxes around here have no sunscreens), and I’m not sure what it’s for. What do sunscreens have to do with renting DVDs? You’re not renting it, are you? Is it to keep people from getting too much sun while picking a movie, or to allow paranoid people to choose movies without others seeing their selections?
I’ve never seen one of those sunscreens. Every Redbox kiosk I can think of is either indoors or under an awning. (As well as DVDPlay kiosks at Kroger stores; indoors or awnings. The only unprotected kiosks I can think of are Blockbuster brand, at Speedway gas station, and none have the sunscreen.)
They are really glare screens. The idea is that you lift the piece of fabric up to see the monitor, and then it shades the monitor so that the sun doesn’t glare on it. Its made of fabric though, so you have to hold it with one hand, but some people rest it on their backs/heads and in which case it can get dirty quickly.
It looks as though it would be a royal pain to use if you are over 5’8" or so.
