Refresh my memory: West Wing ep, deadpan, group trick

We don’t have TV so we get West Wing on DVDs a bit after the fact. We’ve just started Season Six, and last night watched the episode where

Deja vu kicked in and I knew there had been a similar event in a prior season, in which a series of characters had set someone up, deadpan like that, as a means of initiating them. Who and when? I’m drawing a blank…

It was to drive Toby crazy before a State of the Union speech. The whole staff was egged on by a $10 bet with the President.

And to Josh before the election (where they’d hired an acting troup to say they’d screwed up their ballots.)

So, should I watch the finale or just pretend it ended years ago?

If you haven’t been watching this season, a lot will leave you scratching your head. This season is by far the best since Sorkin left. It might be the second or thisrd best of the entire series.
