I have a Samsung SD-604 (SD!) DVD drive that according to several websites is region-free - Cite, I’ve borrowed a US film (R1) but Power DVD tells me I have only 4 more region switches before it is locked (or whatever) - How can I prevent it from becoming locked to R2 - I’m likely to borrow other US DVDs’.

I’ve tried Genie since the OP, in PowerDVD the screen is pink - time appears to pass in the GUI but no image is displayed. 
Why might this be?
