Is there a site that has statistics of voter turnout by state based on registered voters? Googling finds a number of news articles and whatnot but they usually talk about “eligible voters” without defining that term. As far as I can tell, they mean percentage of all adult citizens or something other than registered voters. At least most say that Minnesota has the highest turnout of any state with 74% or so. Since my state had some 80% of registered voters vote, I have to conclude they’re counting something different.
Wikipedia has voter turnout, by state, for Presidential elections. This spreadsheet, which presented via Google and an extra click, claims to show voter registration, by state.
I won’t spend time doing the 51 divisions for you, because I think “eligible voter” is the more pertinent statistic.
