Religion Poll

“Christian” While I believe in God and some Christian tenents of faith, I don’t think organized religion is a good idea…it tends to lead to wars and burning at the stake and other unpleasentries. However, This church isn’t so bad :stuck_out_tongue:

Unitarian Universalist (and athiest to boot!)

Somewhat Deist. Reformed Deist? Certainly not Orthodox Deist …

Atheist. 'nuff said.

In spite of the recent splits, aren’t Anglican and Episcopalian the same thing? Church of England, with bishops. That makes five or so Anglicans. Do I count as Anglican any more? (clutching her rosary) I don’t know.

Secular neo-pagan.
(Translation: I have pagan tendencies but don’t actually believe in it. )

Lapsed Quaker. Agnostic.

was Catholic, now Atheist

Buddhist

Raised Dutch Reformed. Currently Episcopalioan.

Non-practicing, very skeptical Roman Catholic. Realistically, though, I’m probably closer to agnostic–just don’t tell my Mom.

Atheist.

atheist, though i was raised Catholic

Hmmm…

Born a Catholic, parents had a short run as Johova Witnessness, Baptised a Luthern, Raised a Baptist, married a Catholic. Hmmm…
Confused maybe?
My personal beliefs are probably more Agnostic.

Probably any religion thats peaceful is better than none, but I see it all as a sedative for the oppressed. Suffer now and you get it ALL later!!! (later, when we don’t have to pay you)

Maybe I just believe in mother nature, the power of natures creation, I guess thats pagan

Agnostic leaning to atheist.

Well, I guess I’m an agnostic. I mean, I’m probably more of an atheist, but it’s hard to bring myself to say that I’m completely certain that there’s no God (or higher power, or… whatever) when there’s no way I can know for sure that there isn’t. Also, I was raised Southern Baptist and spent part of my early teenage years in a Southern Baptist home for children and it’s really hard to just slough all of that conditioning off.

Raised Christian with Jewish overtones (i.e. Jesus-believing, Saturday Sabbath, no Christmas or Easter, but Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles). I left religion entirely when I was old enough to decide for myself. I’m agnostic/secular humanist, with just enough deep-seated superstition to think that if there is a god, he’s going to get me. But not before I spit in his eye.

Maybe you could do stats on what religions the Atheists and Agnostics- who gave the information- were raised in. I think it would be interesting to see if there was a pattern, anyway.

Atheist

Nondenominational Christian.
