Religion Poll

0 – 6: Church of England
7 – 10: Atheist, with vague reverence of Bumbas – God of the Bumbley Ants. I thought it would be neat to invent a religion.
10 – 17: Atheist
17 +: Agonistic

Agnostic. Raised Catholic.

Deist

When asked to explain I tell people that I follow the “Religion of Xgemina.”

Soft atheist, raised Roman Catholic

Me too!

I am a weak (soft) atheist, but a full-on physicalist with Nietzchean leanings.

I was raised Uniate (aka Greek Catholic), but am now an atheist. I do, however, occasionally go to services to admire the ritual, the music, the art and architecture.

Soft Catholic, with affinities for Hinduism, Buddhism, and Greek and Celtic mythology.

(I just made up the term “Soft Catholic.” I consider religious systems as cultural systems for understanding the universe through ritual, myth, and aesthetics. In this regard, I identify predominately with Roman Catholicism, although I’m also fascinated with the very different religious perspectives offered in Eastern cultures.

I say “soft” because I don’t accept the idea of a supernatural power (God or other spirit) that transcends the material universe. I guess this really makes me an atheist–or maybe I’m really a UU.)

Practicing Roman Catholic.

Agnostic.

Lutheran ( Missouri Synod ) / Baptist

soft Atheist

Lapsed agnostic.

(raised: generic protestant, mostly Methodist and Congregationalist)

Agnostic

Atheist

Christian Reformed.

Raised Lutheran and Catholic, concurrently, by my divorced parents.

Now I think I’m either a pantheist or an agnostic. I believe there’s SOMETHING everywhere, I just don’t know what it is.

Apatheist.

I find questions of gods’ existance irrelevant and uninteresting.

Buddhist. Maybe a bit new agey too. Raised Catholic. I don’t feel guilty about that anymore, either.

I want to thank most of you for stating your preferences as simply as possible and not questioning the choices of others.

Carry on.

Nothing. (This includes atheism).
