Religion Poll

Christian. Church of Christ, actually. But a very moderate congregation - I didn’t have to sit through much talk of hellfire and brimstone as a kid.

Raised Missouri Synod Lutheran. Agnostic, with Daoistic leanings.

Born into a Christian/Jewish family, was eventually confirmed in the Methodist church, stopped practicing, married a man who has some family members who practice Hinduism, some who practice Bhuddism, and one who practices Reikki. Neither of us practice anything - he’s atheist, I am agnostic.

Santa Muerte

Ditto, without the Anglican bit.

With ecumenical leanings.

United Methodist by birth and choice, with spiritual leanings towards Buddhism.

Very mellow about religion, very strong about spirituality

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church back in Michigan, but attending a church of the same Pentecostal denomination I was raised in while in southern exile.

I think count me EPC, but … like Lutheran and Methodist denominations, the various … synods, to borrow a word that isn’t used by Presbyterians, vary wildly along the conservative/liberal spectrum of theology. The EPCs and PCAs aren’t too unhappy when lumped together, but the PCUSAs are mostly something quite different, I assure you.

I also believe in science (as in empirical studies of whatever can be studied), which makes it hard to talk about some topics with co-religionists of either denomination. :frowning:

United Methodist

Good days…agnostic

Bed days…atheist

But I suppose I’m basically an atheist.

Wiccan/Recovering Roman Catholic

Atheist of the Secular Humanist stripe (mostly).

There is, however, a nonzero probability that God exists. Sort of like one of those highly improbable quantum mechanical events.

Interesting poll. About 55% atheist/agnostic. Not surprising, actually.

Christian, of the Anglican flavor. (For the record, this includes a belief that when Jesus said to treat others with love and respect, He actually meant what He was saying, and that includes those who follow other religions or no religion whatsoever.)
