Militant Atheist.
I believe in the golden rule, but I don’t see why that has to have anything to do with religion.
Lutheran roots (my 10x-great-grandfather’s pastor portrait still hangs in a Luthern church in northern Germany), raised fundy Christian. I’m profoundly agnostic.
Atheist.
Agnostic, who is a firm believer in the Golden Rule and occasionally practices ultra-Reform Judaism on holidays and at life-cycle events to keep her family off her back.
Eastern (Russian) Orthodox.
I’m afraid to open a can o’ worms, here, but I’d like to suggest it is possible to be a follower (in general) of the teachings of Christ as described in the Bible, without adhering to the necessity of any sort of divinity being involved. There are those who speculate that it was his later followers who insisted on his godhood, and that Christ may have never actually such for himself.
Nevertheless, a follower of the teachings of Christ = Christian.
I therefore, am an agnostic Christian.
