I understand, but by many definitions of gods, Satan/Shaitan qualifies.
He’s immortal.
He has powers beyond that of humans.
He has worshippers.
In many religions he rules over a spiritual realm and in more than a few he’s considered the ruler of the Earth.
He’s not the same as most gods in monotheistic religions, but there’s no rule saying that gods have to be omnipotent, benevolent, and free. If you consider Set or Hades a god, then Satan is a god. What makes him less a god than those of other pantheons? He’s more powerful than many of the Norse gods, as an example.
