Remember "Encylopedia Brown?"

ahh, Encyclopedia Brown! Before age 13, my most identified-with character in all of literature!

I have the first (I’m nort sure if there were many more) 20 or so volumes of the Bantam series, plus a few “fun facts” books that Unca Cecil would happily kindle a bonfire with.

Does anyone know that the deal was with EB books being printed by both Apple and Bantam?

My brother (five years younger than me) and I loved the Encyclopedia Brown series, and reading this thread has brought back some good memories. I remember the “Two-Minute Mysteries” series… those were quite good, as well.

Ah, yes! “The Three Investigators”! I absolutely loved them. The kids got around in a chauffeured limo, the use of which they had won in a contest, if I remember correctly.

Hey, not everybody had access to the Hardy Boys’ planes and speedboats or Nancy Drew’s roadster.
