Did you see her at the Golden Globes? Yikes!
I was going to ask the same thing.
“Look everybody! As people age, they look older!”
Yeah, but there is such a concept as growing old gracefully.
In many instances, people who appear to try to deny that they are aging - whether through excessive plastic surgery or other means, often end up looking cartoonish or ghoulish. And, IMO, DC fits into this category.
Not seeing it in this case, and certainly not understanding the fascination in any case. It still comes down to “Look at this unflattering photo of a celebrity!” And in most cases, these “horrible” pictures still end up looking better than a lot of people’s good photos.
Perhaps.
It could be that, in this case at least, my reaction was more to the messenger than to the message.
While he’s a long-term and interesting contributor to these boards, astro has a tendency to start a lot of prurient threads related to sex, gender, pornography, and appearance. I don’t begrudge him the right, but it’s noticeable.
And a few months ago there was this thread about how positively awful Linda Hamilton looks at 52. Well, IMO she is someone who is growing old gracefully, without surgery. It seems that, for folks like astro, women are damned if they do, and damned if they don’t.
Jesus, the *nerve *of these people, not staying pretty forever.
