Remote Procedure call crashing xp!

I’m running windows xp with service pack 1.
I keep getting these pop up messages that say they are initiated by NT Authority

System. It tells me that the remote procedure call service has terminated

unexpectantly and that the system will reboot. I then get a countdown from one

minute, during which everything still works. Then once the counter reaches zero the

system reboots. Doing some tests it doesn’t happen until I connect to the internet,

but once I do connect it happens withint 5 minutes, making it difficult for me to

research this with all the shutting down and restarting.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you installed all the latest Critical Updates? I just received an email here regarding machines (We’re all on Win 2000) that had not received the Win 2000 Service Pack 3 and the appropriate patch. Poor, poor mods…

Ohh I’m sorry! See I typed the message in notepad because of the crashing and forgot to check for previous posts. Anyway I did manage to find that page gotpasswords but the damn restarting won’t let me finish downloading that file.
