We had a candle overflow the other day and it’s left a couple of wax stains on the tablecloth. I’ve been able to pry off the globs of wax, but have no clue how to get the wax stain out. Any thoughts?

Candle Wax - Harden with ice, then remove surface wax with a dull knife. Place wax stain between clean paper towels and press with a warm iron. Replace paper towels regularly to absorb more wax and to prevent transfer of the stain. Place stain face down on clean paper towels. Sponge remaining stain with a pre-wash stain remover and blot with paper towels. Let dry, then launder. Note: If any color remains, re-launder with a color safe bleach.
Thanks! I’ll give it a try.
Since wax is essentially an oil that hardens at room temperature, the last stage of the instructions should be to launder with really hot water so the oil remains liquid and can be emulsified by the detergent. I would imagine that cold water laundry would work somewhat. If the wax took the form of liquid oil, couldn’t it could be cleaned out much more thoroughly?
