So they do have Conyers on board. Other than that it’s still Jackson and Cochran. I will grant that if they keep up a media push (and if Conyers stays with them), there could be an serious increase in the number of blacks who consider cash payment reparations as viable. At this time, however, their greatest coup is Conyers. Otherwise it would simply be two “darlings of the media” crying in the wilderness. No sign of a majority (although certainly signs that that could change).
If they can figure out which people are descended from slaves, it should be even easier to figure out which people are descended from slave owners.
And, add a little something to their income tax. They are the ones who benefitted.
There doesn’t seem to have been any great governmental program to enslave people in the US. There was a push by some representatives to include a statement in the Constitution banning slaves.
