Exactly this. Multiple reports of the same post (or in the same thread) can be an indicator of urgency. And as noted above, we’d much prefer to get multiple reports on the same post than to have someone dropping “Reported” in an already contentious thread. [And as was noted, this does not apply to people reporting spam.]
Seriously, that baby monkey thing got like eight reports. Our personal anti-spambot (running coach) usually picks up on those right away. “Reported” is good move in those cases.
