Repubs have formed an openly racist caucus

Yes, let’s not talk about the racist foundation of the “freedom caucus”. Rather let’s look at this nice bowl of flowers that they’ve arranged.

Boy, it sure would be nice if we could all agree that it’s a bad thing when our elected officials publish a white supremacist manifesto.

Geriatric cunts.

Somewhat surprisingly, it turns out that there has in fact been enough pushback against it to cause its Republican promoters to abandon it, at least for now.

Personally, I think we can probably find adequate diversity of reasonable opinions on issues like immigration and trade without looking to a bunch of nativist shitheels advocating for so-called “Anglo-Saxon political traditions”. (Having watched The Last Kingdom on Netflix and read the books, I don’t think Rep. Greene would like “Anglo-Saxon political traditions” as much as she thinks she would.)

MTG is backing down after getting blowback from the Party.

There’s only one dumbfuck left openly defending this racist manifesto… @The_Other_Waldo_Pepper.

Norman since 1066.

“This was an early racist trial balloon that apparently blew the dog whistle a little too loudly.”

Thats Cnuts. As in Anglo Saxon king from 1016-1035.

So then, she figured the group was going to espouse mainstream Republican stances. Got it.

It looks like you are off the hook, since they have backtracked and are claiming it was just an idea they were floating…despite the seven page detailed manifesto they came up with.

I think this thread is what killed it. Well done!

No-I’m giving credit to the boosters and apologists that just don’t know when to shut the fuck up.

Waldo will never let it die!

Some of the punctuation wasn’t racist. And like 90% of the prepositions weren’t racist.

It’s so sad to see white power fizzle again. That’s some feeble power right there.

Do’s and don’t’s for having a polite debate about immigration policy.

Do… start a thread about the topic in Great Debates.

Don’t… spend an afternoon defending a racist manifesto in a Pit thread like a total fucking moron.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

… A racist manifesto that even the racists themselves quickly disavow.

… A racist manifesto that even @The_Other_Waldo_Pepper acknowledges is hateful and ignorant of American history and values.

Just a piss poor hill to die on if you ask me, but dipshits gotta dipshit.

Is there any reason to think immigrants from Germany or the United Kingdom (which I assume are “Anglo-Saxon” countries) will benefit America more than immigrants from Mexico or Nigeria or India? Looking ahead a few years, is there any reason to think the children and grandchildren of immigrants from Germany or the United Kingdom will benefit America more than the children and grandchildren of immigrants from Mexico or Nigeria or India?

What do you think these people want? They come complete with Nazi flags.

I wouldn’t think so.
