"Requested file not found?"

I have half-a-dozen old (1900-1940) music sites bookmarked. We had some threads recommending some of these a while back–tinfoil.com, redhotjazz.com, a few others.

But for the past couple of months, when I click on 85% of the songs, I get a “Media Player Clssic” box telling me, “Requested file not found. The link you followed may be outdated or inaccurate.”

WTF? Is it me? Is it them? Howcum this occurs on all the music sites I have bookmarked; but not on all the songs on all the sites?

The files could have been taken offline for any number of reasons. Or they might have been moved without updating the pages. Post a couple of links to pages with missing songs so we can try them. I tried one song from each of the two sites you mentioned and played them fine, but of course two samples don’t really prove anything.
