I think you’re missing the part where you actually sid it was in tribute to BOB Seger, and not Pete Seeger. Which is understandable, because I hadn’t noticed it until it was pointed out.
Thanks for mentioning Paul Kelly. It’s a shame that no one in the US seems to have heard of him. He came to my college in 1988 or 1989 and I became a fan. I had lost track of him for a few years, but I picked up his most recent CD and have gotten reacquainted with him this summer. He’s a great songwriter.
