Researching WWII uniforms - help sought

My grandfather served in the 88th Infantry Division, 349th Infantry Regiment during WWII. He died recently, and since he never really talked about his experiences in the war, I’ve decided to do some research. I’ve found a lot of information about where his regiment fought, and the things that they did. However, I have not been able to find much information about what his uniform looked like, and the patches and pins he would have had on it.

My questions is this: are there websites out there that would provide me information on what patches, pins, insignias, etc that an infantry lineman from his division/regiment would have worn on his uniform? I’d like to eventually obtain replicas of them.

Any links woud be appreciated. Thanks

Hope it helps:

Thank you, that’s a good start. Eventually, I’d like to be able to build an exact replica of his uniform. I’m trying to reach someone who actually served with him who has their old uniform, or a replica of it.
