Reservoir Dogs!

I just got done watching it, and I am impressed by Tarantino yet again. It is a very good film noir with a variety of suprises. Tell me what you think of it!

Well, let’s just say I changed my mind about getting my ear pierced.

Did you notice Buscemi’s character yelling at the police in the background in the very last scene?

When I first saw it, I thought it was brilliant. When I watched a few years later with a friend, my fervor had cooled, it got by a lot more on brashness and attitude than I remembered. Since I’ve seen City On Fire, The Killing, and The Taking Of Pelham One Two Three my opinion is that it stitches together elements of better films without breaking much new ground.

But I will give Tarentino credit, he gave some exposure to and got good performances from some interesting actors who were usually character or supporting players in bigger movies. And he changed what anyone who has seen the film will associate with the song “Stuck In The Middle With You” for all time. Like I told my cousin who totally hated film when he saw it, “Ah, but you’ll always remember that scene whenever you hear that song from now on.”

I remember that was a good film. I haven’t seen it though for many, many years. Every so often I think about it and wish I could see it again.

Johnny L.A., if I ever get around to replacing my VHS copy with a DVD, you can have it.

Just what I came here to say! This movie has prompted me to sum up Tarantino in this way: “He wields music like a club.”

I remember seeing Pelham as a kid, but sometimes it’s impossible for me to recall if I liked a film merely because I was a kid, or it was actually good! I remember it as being engrossing. Now I too would like to see it again!
