I just saw the biggest bunch of freaks on MTV. Yes, I saw Slipknot- the 9 piece metal band from Assboink, Iowa. The played a very wimpy version of ‘Wait and Bleed’, but it was still Slipknot and it was on MTV.

I never would have thought they would have played Slipknot on MTV, since MTV only plays pop or rap nowadays. But thanks to my new favorite show, The Return of the Rock, I can see Staind, Suicide Machines, System of a Down, Static-X, Rage Against the Machine, Powerman 5000 and even Slipknot without having to choke down Backstreet Boys on TRL.

Of course its only a half hour show and they have it on at 11am, which is about the equivalent of having it air at 4am. But its about time they put some of my music on there!

Even my 8 year old can’t stand the wimpy back street boys, doesn’t care for Brittany S, but he likes some girl, Ho Ku (sp?).

Yes, it’s true, “pop” is back, even though Sammy Davis and Nancy Sinatra and Sonny Bono are out of the picture.

I think her name is Hoku, and she’s actually the daughter of Don Ho. I think it’s fairly obvious why she didn’t use her last name… :wink:
