Revisiting childhood memories courtesy of the internet.

I wanted a copy of the children’s book Saturday Magic for years! I finally spotted one on the internet. That’s the good news. The bad news is that they want $500 for it. :frowning:

It is neat to know that all of those tacky vases that I inherited from relatives are really surprisingly valuable.

When I was a wee tot, my very favorite book was The elephant who liked to smash small cars. I checked it out of the library constantly. It went out of print the year I was born, so when I grew up and wanted to find it, it was no longer in any library collection I could get to, and copies on alibris were about $200. Luckily for me, one eventually popped up on abebooks for $40, and now my children know the joy of singing along with the elephant:

Smashing cars! Smashing cars! How I love to smash small cars!"

Here ya go!!

It’s on vinyl, but it’s available.

(we end up buying music through this site when we can’t find what we want at conventional music outlets)

I could have sworn I pasted a link to a CD copy in this very thread, in post #5. I don’t know how you missed it.

:o oops… How did I miss that?? I guess that is what happens when I am trying to work, read and post
