Richard Crenna and I love Lucy

I read the news today that Richard Crenna had died. As part of his obit, they mentioned that he had played the part of a love-struck teenager on an episode of I love Lucy. Now, as I recall, ILL had an episode where a teenager had a crush on Lucille Ball. I wonder if this was the particular episode which starred Richard Crenna.

Oh yeah, during that particular I love Lucy episode which I believe may have involved Richard Crenna, the teenager wore a “porkpie” hat, the same as Goober wore on the Andy Griffith show.

Janet Waldo, of course, went on to be the voice of Judy Jetson. Don’t ask me why I know this.

I loved him as Walter on Our Miss Brooks.

He also did a sitcom with Patty Duke in the early 1980s.

I loved him as Maxine’s beau on “Judging Amy.”

The Sand Pebbles.

And The Real McCoys. Now that was television.

I watched Body Heat just a couple of weeks ago and was wondering where he was and what he was doing.

Hastur (our anyone who knows, was he on the TV version of “Our Miss Brooks,” the radio version or both?

Was he also the voice of Henry Aldrich on radio?

I think that Richard Crenna is the first star that I’ve watch from start to finish – except those who died young.

His character was scheduled to marry Tyne Daly on JUDGING AMY. I wonder how they’ll work this into the plot?
