Rick and I got to know each other through e-mails and long phonecalls. Next thing I knew, I was making plans to see him in London. Now here I am, having a wonderful time.

After the first night, we are just hanging out in a cold, wet London but where else would I rather be. We are just looking at the sights and finding places to eat for dinner at the moment (hot monkey sex comes later :D)
Now that I am here and we are having a great time, it is nice to tell you dopers about this big secret romance. (btw, ladies, eat your hearts out. I arrived to find Rick with a rose for me and having arranged for another one to be lying across the bed in our room. He is the most romantic man ever. Well, I thought so until he typed the above comment about hot monkey sex :p) I return to the States at the end of next week 
I’m having a great time too. After such a long wait (47 days, IIRC, since we planned the trip) it is wonderful to finally meet and be together. The place we are staying in is really great (although as of Monday night, it almost wasn’t :eek: miscommunication, they almost cancelled it). We are going to the Isle of Wight for a few days, then a couple more days in London to pack in as much fun as possible.
Thanks to the SDMB for being the kind of place where this can happen. Right now, I feel incredibly lucky.
