Is there much overhead? I can see where it would limit side conversations in polls, but at least to me that would be boring.

I hate to be a stick in the mud, but why? Feel free to ignore my suggestion if you want, but why can’t we be trusted to discuss it among ourselves? Actually, I doubt replying to What Exit? to argue the merits of polls in this thread would get me in trouble, but lord help me if I tried to have the same discussion in ATMB where it belongs. How does that make sense?

Head on back over to ATMB, start a new thread entitled Why can’t the Polls feature be enabled? or something along those lines, and ask the question. Question. Not the “Who’s with me?” stuff.
If any other mod gives you grief about starting a new thread after your other one was closed, point them over here in my direction. I’ll take the heat on that one.

May I suggest that next time you are in a similar situation you take off the mod hat and put on the sleeping hat? It is not like you have a fixed schedule here as a mod (do you? now I don’t know)
That’s something I’ve always wondered: As a mod, do you have a work schedule?
How often do you have to check over you forum? It seems like it would take a lot of time.
Some mods appear to spend all of their free time on the boards, whether they’re moderating or just posting. Perhaps that’s one of the prerequisites.
No work schedule. Modding is done whenever I have free time.
I went to bed about 11:30, and still hadn’t fallen asleep by 2AM, so I got up and turned on the computer. Sleeping hat wasn’t working. But Grumpy Hat apparently was on and I didn’t realize it.
Grumpy Hat and Mod Hat don’t mix.
Which is why I am always out there. Watching. Waiting to step into the breach.
