Hmm, I recall seeing a nature special that featured a wild dog breed in either Africa or Australia that “whistled” instead of howled. Maybe that’s it. I can’t recall the actual breed name though.
Is it a Maine Coon? My ex-wife had a part Maine Coon cat that would fetch and chirped rather than meow. Her’s didn’t swim that I know of, but I’ve heard that some Maine Coons do.
Animal: Cat
Type: Slyvester
Hobbies: Chasing a scrawny yellow bird, and avoiding umbrellas swung by little old ladies.
Turn offs: Bulldogs
Turn ons: Anything from the Acme catalog (wait, no, that’s a coyote)
Bill Clinton has asked me to point out it all depends on how you define the word “fetch.”
Oh, and the breed of cat known for swimming is the Turkish Van, which unlike most other cat breeds, usually likes water. Whether it chirps or fetches, I cannot say.
My dad had one of those hugely wrinkled Chinese dogs, a Shar Pei. In addition to the standard barks and growls, he would chirp and purr. When asleep, he snored and whistled. He could swim, though rather badly. He could fetch, but he slobbered so copiously that you didn’t want to take what he brought you. He had a nice disposition, but I don’t recommend this breed to anyone.
