How about this? To take the sting out of it when the Bombers lose, Pipeliner, you send me a Bombers T-shirt. That way, even in spite of the inevitable humiliation, you get to spread the word about the Bombers. Of course, I make the purely formal commitment to send you a Riders T-shirt, in the theoretical off-chance of a Bombers victory.
Odieman, if you want in, how about you and Pipeliner do caps? (no, not that silly drinking game - baseball caps with team logos)

Yeah, it’s too bad he’s retiring, but it’s not a surprise. Pretty much everyone knew he was going to quit after this season (although everyone thought he was going to quit last season, and the season before that, and …). I have always thought he should have quit after kicking the winning field goal at home in the '94 Grey Cup.
Gotta respect a guy with over 400 games and 26 years playing professional football.
Now if only the Lions can pull it together for Looooooooooo’s last season…

For any of our Americain friends skimming this thread: the “LOOOOOO” we’re talking about is the retiring kicker for the BC Lions - who holds more records than any other kicker in either the CFL or the NFL, including a game winning Grey Cup kick. As summarised in Passaglia Plans to Retire:

(So do you know what I’m doing in the real world? well, I just happen to be in TO in time for a certain event at the SkyDome - just can’t get away from the Riders. jti: My only real complaint is that the game wasn’t broadcast on CBC (at least not in here in Alberta), so other than the final score, I don’t know much about what happened.
