Observe my sig. The only reason I’ve used the smilies is to get some space between the quote from ChiefScott and the hyperlink. Ideally I’d like to right-justify the hyperlink… it seems I just can’t use multiple spaces or tabs. And yet I’ve seen sigs where it’s apparently been done. How?
I don’t believe it’s possible to right justify. Can you give an example to show someone who does?
You might be able to insert non-breaking space characters to pad the sig, but I don’t know if vB will accept them or not. To try, just enter (without the quote marks) " " for each space character you want.
Wish I could remember the guy’s name. All I remember is, his sig said “This is your sig. This is your sig on Dope”, and featured subscript and superscript used to extraordinary effect, so that the second sentence was up and down and all over the place. I couldn’t see how he’d done it without spaces, but it may be that your idea is the right one. I should have been more specific - I suspected he’d used spaces but not right-justify (that was my own idea, as it’s about as technical as I’ve got before). Now I know a new trick. Thanx dude.
The doper you’re looking for is Democritus. You can find him and his sig in this thread. I couldn’t copy it to this post, but it goes something like this:
[sup]T[sub]h[sub]i[sub]s[sub] [sub]i[sub]s[sub] [sup]y[sup]o[sup]u[sup]r [sub]s[sub]i[sub]g [sup]o[sup]n [sub]D[sub]o[sub]p[sub]e!
Hit quote and see how he (and I too) did it. BTW, Demo, I hope I didn’t reveal your favorite secret.
You can also use the “fake space” character, accesible via Charmap or by holding alt and typing 160 on the numpad. Using it, you can put in as many spacesas you want.
