Just in time for Father’s Day I do have a phone that I’m able to use but this might be a serious upgrade. Thanks for thinking of me!
Blinkie, reading through your posts is amazing! What a true, enduring spirit you have! I’ve faced my own share of life struggles and health issues but reading this gives me strength.
You’re welcome, blinkie. I actually think of you often. Happy upcoming Father’s Day!
Just a bump hoping blinkie will see and let us know how he’s doing.
Funny. I just thought about Blinkie this morning, wondering if he had any updates, and here I find the thread bumped.
Blinkie, dude, how’s it going?
Yes, thanks, I was wondering, too.
Thanks for thinking about me. I have been going through a few health issues, nothing too serious, but every little thing is magnified because of my condition.
Mrs. Blinkie did fracture my leg, hairline, driving my wheelchair and I won’t let her forget it. I tease her relentlessly and threaten to call Family Services on her.
My grandson, 6 years old with my sense of humor says, “Don’t worry grandpa, you don’t need your leg, you don’t walk anyway.”
Great to hear from you, blinkie. Sounds like your grandson has inherited the family sense of humor. Sorry you had to get a broken leg to get that punch line though.
Keep in touch with us; we need your unique point of view here.
Glad to hear you’re on the mend! Sorry to hear about the leg.
Please consider posting more, we do love your voice here at SDope!
Wow, this is the first time I’ve seen this thread and I’m blown away. Blinkie, you’re an inspiration. Thanks for being courageous and caring enough to let others have a peak inside your life to gain better understanding. Every time one person opens their life like this it helps those of us who care to gain greater compassion and understanding of the things that go on around us all. It makes us all better people. This is just an amazing thread and you’re an amazing person for sharing like this.
Howdy, blinkie, and happy early Thanksgiving! You know, there are easier ways to set up a punch line. Next time, have her just break a nail or something!
Wait - you’re an actor now?
Break a leg.

Bwahahahahaha. I’m happy to see your sense of humor remains intact. Please post when you can and I speak for the teeming millions when I say we like to hear from you.
Any plans for the holiday’s this year? There are some new gadgets coming that might be interesting for you. Keep an eye out for Black Friday and new splashes.
Thanks for the update, blinkie, and hope you feel better and better.
Blinkie, thanks for the update. Good to hear from you again! Hope we can hear from you more often–I always enjoy your remarks.
It’s good to read an update from you.
Oh, I hope nothing serious.
Oh heck! I bet you will never let poor Mrs. Blinkie live it down. Nice grandson. Glad about the sense of humour. Just don’t let him too near you with an axe in case he decides to tidy up all the bits he doesn’t think you need.
That’s not this system, is it?
This Sesame phone system claims basically to have rewritten Android; IOS is in the works.
Blinkie’s family would like to let his StraightDope friends know that he passed away last night. It was very peaceful, and he was home-where he wanted to be. Thank you all for the thoughts, well wishes and fond memories that you shared with Blinkie. The support that everyone gave to him really made his days brighter and helped him through some tough times. We are grateful that he was able to share his life with so many of you. Thank you, Mrs. Blinkie.

Oh no!
That’s so sad. He was such a strong guy and was so brave in letting us into his life.
RIP buddy
