I am sorry to hear this news. I always enjoyed Blinkie’s remarks here on the board, and I especially enjoyed the story of his experience in Teemings, when it was published there some years ago. My condolences go out to his family at this time.

Thank you for standing up for him way back when he got sick. You are pretty amazing.
We were all made richer in spirit by his sharing his love of life and sense of humour with us.
A long time ago, we watched a tv programme that he was on, about Locked-In Syndrome, and I believe his name was mentioned, but I’ve forgotten it, though I will never forget his spirit.

Damn, this is so sad. He was so open and honest, sharing a perspective on the human experience that the vast majority of us couldn’t even imagine, helping us try to understand his life.
Many thanks to his wife, family and other caregivers, who went above and beyond, showing an almost unimaginable level of love and commitment that few of us could count on being able to deliver, should we be called upon to do so. You helped us, to the extent possible, know the man you loved.

I’m so, so very sorry for your most profound loss. His was such a wonderful voice. His positive attitude moved us all, I believe. His rare perspective and charming humour were a wonderful addition to our board.
