Whoops. The news left me temporarily insane due to surprise and grief.
Doors, he’d supposedly been clean for years.
Damn, bye Lou.
Guess he’s walking on the wild side now. Bummer
No Money Down is one of the best music videos ever.
Okay - had no idea, or that I hadn’t asked.
Carrying on - he really did it his way, by all appearances. Some of his music is so soundtrack-accessible to me - Sweet Jane, Walk on the Wildside - and some, well, isn’t. I respect him a lot more than I seek his music out. But damn, I respected him.
Lulu. A musical collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica. Now Reed’s swan song.
This song by him has helped me get over my mom’s death this year. It’s gonna have to serve double duty now.
Guess he’s done waiting for the man.
Shit! Just shit!
Fucknuggets.
RIP Lou.
Damn. Warren Zevon, Joe Strummer, Mark Sandman and now Lou Reed. sigh
One of my favorites from The Velvet Underground and Nico.
Saw him walking down the street in Madison, Wisconsin sometime in the late 70s. RIP… Lou…
Sad day.
Shit, this news ruins my weekend. He was one of the key figures in shaping rock’n roll as we know it today, and one of it’s greatest poets. He had the guts to show us the darker sides of life without missing the beauty that lies within them. Though he could be an arrogant asshole, I always had deepest respect for the man. And I’m always willing to defend his singing. I like it. RlP.
Farewell, Lou. White Light White Heat (and others) changed the course of my life. R.I.P.
Another piece of my youth gone. RIP Lou.
Wow. Don’t know what to say. EinsteinsHund sums it up pretty well. RIP Lou.
And Airman Doors WTF?
Damn.
Shit. Some people should never die.
