RIP Ted Kennedy?

Well color me surprised. I didn’t even know you could do that. It’s like Calvinball for Massachusetts Liberals.

I was greatly saddened when I saw the news article just now. It’s strange, actually: I’m conservative, and I’ve never liked Ted Kennedy. But I saw “malignant brain tumor” and I thought, "Man, that really sucks :frowning: "

I’m not a doctor of any sort, but if he’s got a brain tumor big enough to cause seizures, I’m guessing it probably won’t be long.

I’m praying for him and his family.

Senator Byrd offers moving tribute to Ted Kennedy.

“Ted, my dear friend Ted, I love you…” Words ripped bleeding from a grieving heart.

This is exactly what I felt.

I think they could at least have the decency to wait until he’s dead before they eulogize him 24/7.

Hell, I’d rather have people talk nice about me when I can actually appreciate it…

Reagan and Carter both got aircraft carriers named after them while they were still alive. Apparently, “mostly dead” is now close enough.

They should have named a sub after Carter.

The USS Jimmy Carter is a submarine.

Cool.
Thanks.

Michael and Sonny were soon followed by yet another legend.
*(Doak) Walker’s accident came several weeks after the skiing deaths of two other celebrities, Sonny Bono and Michael Kennedy.

Bono, 62, a two-term California congressman and former pop singer and television star, died instantly from head and neck injuries Dec. 5 - at the end of a lengthy ski vacation at Tahoe.

Five days earlier, Michael Kennedy, 39, son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, slammed into a tree while playing football on skis in Aspen, Colo.*

Walker died later that year from those injuries.

Not that it gives any insight beyond the linked articles and discussion above but, unfamiliar with gliomas, we asked a doctor friend what that mean. His all too short assessment was “He’s screwed.”

Timed out. To add…

With the best care available and the well-wishes of so many streaming in from all walks, there’s some thanks to be had in the fact he can both acknowledge and appreciate what’s sure to be a continued outpouring of support and admiration. I wish him peace and comfort.
