I hope they make this into a *Law&Order *episode. I can see it now: “Ripped” from the headlines…
Probably the result of an “intergalactic kegger”.
Quasi
I don’t think Rip has done anything lately while sober.
None of which is as astonishing as the implied “still alive.”
Actually, it sounds like his gun may have been out, but his firearm was in his pocket.
And in perfect hibernation.
Sorry. Reflex.
When I see Rip Torn’s name I always think Rip Taylor. Now there’s a picture: Rip Taylor wobbling around a bank, drunk and armed.
I remember Rip when he’d appear on the Tonight Show with Jay. He’d run out of the audience and confetti would drop from the ceiling. He’d always have a wig with this wild looking hair.
Hope he gets some help and gets the drinking under control.
Wrong guy. Or is that a whoosh?
No, I was serious. Isn’t Rip Torn the guy with the huge Walrus mustache and wig? For some reason, he was always throwing confetti. <shrug> I wouldn’t mind being wrong. I’d hate to think such a happy, joyous person had these kinds of problems.
this article says, Rip Torn is the confetti guy.
*update never mind. I see, after reading closer that this paper got it wrong. darn names are too similar. Even fools the papers. :smack:
Apparently, Rip Torn is some actor I’d forgotten about.
No kidding. This is the bank in Google Street View, and it looks like all the houses there are similar to that style.
Is that all that website does? That’s the whole point of its existence? Someone pays ten bucks a year to have that thing on the internet? Wow.
No, it does more than that. YTMD stands for “You’re The Man Now, Dog”, the Sean Connery quote from Finding Forrester. The eponymous quote also had it’s own page where it repeated the audio over and over.
Basically the site lets users create meme-worthy material. See here.
If he can dodge a wrench, he can dodge a prison stay!
hh
I wonder if he tried to escape by using his Flashy Thing on the cops.
That’s not how it works!
Torn was not a favorite of the “Combat!” cast (neither was Jack Lord) when he appeared on it almost 50 years ago. So this isn’t a recent development.
Wow, I thought I was the only one who confuses them.
