Ripping mp3 streams

There is an archive of a local radio show on the web. The hosts have discovered it and don’t mind. There are tons of links to bits from the show, but I need suggestions for a way to batch download these so I can put them on my iPod. Even if I have to click on every link, isn’t there something that will rip these streams and save them, faster than real time?

Thanks for any help.

MPlayer can be used to do this - it is a free command line tool for handling all sorts of video/audio data. It will handle downloading streamed material (and can transcode it, too). It has options for downloading faster than realtime playback. However, the server you are downloading from may throttle your connection to prevent this.

Something like Super or MediaCoder may do the trick, too.
