I think that this is the telling part of the article:

Although the technology has garnered a good track record overseas, the first public robotic garage in the United States has been riddled with technical glitches that has trapped and dropped cars.

The system works with the driver leaving the car on a pallet while it is lowered into the garage, then shifted to a vacant parking space by a computer-controlled contraption.

Uh, yeah, I don’t think I’ll be letting my baby near one of those monsters, thank you very much. Also, I think that it’s rather telling that their website appears to be down.
