I just want to say that even if many here are not aware of “Ham’s Children” as an excuse to justify slavery, there is a very small minority of the country that still live by this biblical racist idea of why dark skinned people are dark, and why the white man is superior. It’s disgusting, perverted, horrific, but it is what it is. We can’t forget that guy David Duke who ran for President not all that long ago. When these two old men resorted to their actions I had that sinking feeling they would at least be in sympathy with the KKK, if not part of them. Let’s not kid ourselves into thinking they don’t exist, or wouldn’t be attracted by the far right platform espoused at the RNC. Heck, the Morman church did not allow blacks into the fold until 1978, and no one has a plausible explanation as to why.
Is this some lefty paranoid weird ass thinking? Maybe. But I’m convinced they were not just some yahoos, but were jackasses with a purpose.

Dropzone, I love Mason Williams, especially the albums “Handmade” and one that features Classical Gas. He also wrote several “books”, which you may be aware of. For those who are not, some contained doggeral verse in the meter I was copying (although his are much funnier), and another book which was an exhaustive study of what happens when you throw a typewriter out the window of a speeding car into the Arizona desert. One of a kind, that man (of course, he also wrote and performed on the Smothers Brothers TV shows).
