I find it ironic that they have the same name as the controversial ELF system that was protested so much. You had to be around during the Cold War when this was built to release how opposed people were to it’s operation.

Try this: do a search for threads with PETA in the title.
Now choose any other fucking organization on the planet, and do a search for threads with their name in the title.
With the possible exception of major US political parties, I defy you to find a group that receives more vitriol on these boards than PETA. Hell, replace “vitriol” with “free publicity from people who fall for their trolls,” and the point stands.

Didn’t the ELF system kill a married couple who were exposed to the waves? If I remember correctly, they had to keep traveling west without stopping or their ears would explode.

I tried to find the articles on the man that led a gang of teens to destroy electric and telecommunication equipment in Wisconsin. Some of it was towers. It was in the last decade. He then was caught before he let lose anthrax in the Chicago subways. I think this was while on bail for the Wisconsin terrorism. The guy was someone that would fit right in with ELF.
I’m extremely liberal. ELF are whackos and terrorists who deserve jail.
